What’s in a name?

Some people think that a name defines who or what you are.

Some people think that Smart Girls Who Surf is just for surfers.

Our name was chosen because it reflects who we are and what we do.

We are smart and we surf.

We also snowboard, ski, play volleyball, run, swim, and spend time at the beach with our friends.

We are outdoors pursuing the sports and hobbies that we love.

We are aware of the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and vigilant about protecting our skin.

We are in awe of our surroundings and want to take care of our environment.

Our name does define who we are. Although our roots will always be in surfing, we have discovered that our superior sunscreen products can benefit men, women and children that participate in all types of action sports.

While we have decided to expand into other industries, the one principle that we have not compromised is our singular commitment to deliver a high quality sunscreen formula manufactured here in the USA.

Our Spring/Summer 2011 product line-up further extends our commitment to clean skin care, ultimate protection, and education about skin cancer.

This January we will rollout our long-awaited kid’s line, Smart Kids Who Play. The Smart Kid’s line is being introduced to entice and simplify a safe skin care regimen for babies, kids and teens. Our ultimate goal is to make this easy, enjoyable and a habit they will continue year round.

So next time you are surfing, snowboarding, or playing tennis, remember that you are exposing your precious skin to the harshest of elements…the sun.
